HEADstrong Foundation Presenting Sponsor
For the 2nd straight year the HEADstrong Foundation has been named Presenting Sponsor for Light The Night Walk hosted by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; an event which is their signature fundraiser for the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter. To date the HEADstrong Foundation has pledged over $500,000 towards LLS and annually at this event we are joined by hundreds of our supporters wearing lime green to honor HEADstrong founder Nicholas Colleluori and the one million Americans currently living with blood cancer.
As an ambassador of blood cancer, Nicholas led a team of supporters for two years while undergoing treatment for non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
The HEADstrong Foundation made history in 2010 by serving as the chapter’s first ever Presenting Sponsor and is committed to supporting Light The Night once again.
“We are thrilled to welcome back The HEADstrong Foundation to serve in this important role for Light The Night. Our partnership is one that continues to grow and we are proud of the work that they do for blood cancer patients and their families, many of whom LLS also supports,” says Sarah Lindenmuth, Light The Night Campaign Director.
Cheryl Colleluori, President of The HEADstrong Foundation, expresses similar sentiments, “The HEADstrong Foundation is very proud to support the efforts of LLS in memory of Nick Colleluori. Our organizations have similar missions — to cure blood cancers and improve the quality of life for patients and their families. The Colleluori family will continue to fight the disease that took our son and brother from us. This is one way for our family to stay connected to Nick with the hope that other families may be spared the anguish of this disease.”
